– All names after 'هذا' are Nakirah; they end in Tanwīn (this is what we should understand at this level)
– Khabar (the information you give about a noun) should be in Nakirah form
– The Mubtada’ is Ma'rifah in its aṣl (original form), whilst the Khabar is Nakirah in its aṣl
– The word 'هذا' comprises of two words; 'ها' (Hā) and 'ذا' (Dhā). The Hā is used to draw attention. The Ism al-Ishārah is Dhā
– Hadhā points to something close (Ism al-Ishārah lil Qarīb)
– Dhālika points to something far (Ism al-Ishārah lil Baʿīd)
