All of praise and thanks are due to Allāh alone, the Lord of all that exists, and may Allāh extol the mention of our Messenger Muḥammad, his family, his Companions and all of those who follow his guidance until the Day of Resurrection.

We are a group of Muslims from Kogi State, Nigeria (and outside of it) striving to following the Qur’ān and the Sunnah upon the understanding of the Salaf as-Ṣāliḥ (the Pious Predecessors) – who are the Companions of Prophet Muhammad -ﷺ-, and the two generations who followed them upon precision and righteousness. Just as the Prophet -ﷺ- said in an authentic Ḥadīth (narration):

“The best of mankind is my generation, then those who come after them, then those who come after them.”

Although we only began the Masjid project in recent years, we have, for many years, remained connected to and sought advice from scholars of the Sunnah—such as our Shaykh, ‘Alī al-Ḥudhayfī al-‘Adanī -‏حفظه الله- —as well as others with whom we remain in regular contact. Similarly, we have maintained ties with those who preceded us in daʿwah in these lands, including our brothers at Markaz as-Salafī in Lagos and Maʿhad Hady as-Salaf in Abuja.

Based on the advice of various scholars—among them Shaykhs ‘Alī al-Ḥudhayfī al-‘Adanī, ‘Arafāt al-Muḥammadī, Muḥammad bin ‘Umar al-Fūlānī, Abū ‘Abdillāh Majdī ash-Shaḥrī, and others—we have embarked on establishing a Masjid through which we hope to exert efforts in calling the people of Lokoja, Kogi State, and Nigeria at large to the exclusive worship of Allāh, and to strive to adhere to the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allāh, Muḥammad -ﷺ-, at a time when the callers to Shirk (polytheism)—from among the Ṣūfiyyah and the Shī‘ah—are actively working to misguide the lay Muslims from this path.
