Advice To Youngsters Who Enter Into The Nawāzil - Shaykh ‘Arafāt bin Ḥassan al-Muḥammadī
﷽
Question:
What is your advice to the Shabāb (youngsters) who enter into the Fitan an-Nāzilah (critical tribulations that affect the Ummah)?
Response of ash-Shaykh ʿArafāt bin Ḥassan al-Muḥammadī - may Allāh protect and preserve him -:
Do not enter into Fitan o youngster! The affairs that relate to the Salafī Daʾwah and the People of Sunnah — they have their ʿUlamā' (scholars, who will deal with the affairs). Don’t busy yourself (with these affairs)!
The ʿUlamā' deal with every small and big (affair) — and praise is for Allāh. And the Students of Knowledge – even if they differ – they return to the People of Knowledge. So you, remain with the Qurʾān and Sunnah, learn and understand (your religion). We want Students of Knowledge — may Allāh make them of benefit. We want Imāms and Khaṭībs (those to lead the prayers and deliver sermons). We need those to take care (run affairs) of the Mosques.
As for busying yourself with these (Social Media) platforms — what did this one say and what did that one say— this is an error! Don’t do this! Don’t waste yourself! Don’t be a fuel to Fitan!
As for speaking against Ahl al-Bidʾah (The People of Innovation), then do so — because this is the way of Ahl as-Sunnah (The People of Sunnah) we warn from Ahl al-Bāṭil (The People of Falsehood), we warn from Ahl al-Fitan (The People of Trials) who speak against of ʿUlamā', our leaders, the Uṣūl (Fundamentals) of Ahl as-Sunnah. Warn from that which the ʿUlamā' have warned from.¹
