(Card) True Remembrance — Ibn Jawzī

Ibn Jawzī - رحمه الله - said:

“The one who remembers Allāh isn’t merely the one who says “Subḥān-Allāh” and “Alḥamdulillāh” while his heart is persistent upon sinning; but the one who (truly) remembers Allāh is the one who when he intends to sin he remembers his standing before the Knower of the unseen (hence he refrains from sinning).”
