The Disease of Envy

In the two Ṣaḥīḥs (Bukhārī & Muslim) he (the Messenger of Allāh) - ‏صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم - said:

“Do not hate one another, and do not envy one another, and do not turn away from one another…” - the Ḥadīth.

Al-‘Allāmah Al-Qāḍī ibn Al-‘Arabī - رحمه الله - said:

“When people do not find a fault in a person, and envy and hatred for him overcomes them they invent for him faults.”¹
