What Manners Should A Student of Knowledge Possess? — Shaykh Ibn Bāz


The questioner says:

What are the manners that a student of knowledge should possess?

Shaykh ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz bin ʿAbdillāh Ibn Bāz - may Allāh have mercy upon him - :

Etiquettes of the Sharī’ah (The Islāmic Legislation; the Qurʾān and the Sunnah), possessing humility, giving the Salām (greetings), responding to greetings, directing (meaning inviting and guiding others) to goodness, advising, enjoining good and forbidding evil, upholding ties of kinship, honouring the neighbour, withholding from harming the neighbour... And in that manner...

These traits are signs depicting goodness and signs of happiness. Yes.
