The Ruling On Lowering The Trousers Below The Ankles and Wearing Garments Up To Niṣf as-Sāq (Mid-Shin) — Shaykh Ibn Bāz
Shaykh Ibn Bāz – may Allāh have mercy on him – explained that the ruling of raising garments above the ankles applies to all types of men’s clothing, including Thawb, trousers, Izār, Sirwāl, and Bisht. The Prophet ﷺ said: “Whatever is below the ankles is in the Fire.” The Shaykh explains that this prohibition is general for all garments of the men.
